Mohamad Labash
Born in Dara’a, south of Syria, in 1989.
Labash’s technical understanding and proficiency provided him with the tools he needed to use the most crucial component of making work- emotions.
His art delves into the human face in moments and processes of transition. It looks into the mental, emotional, and bodily states associated with being in motion. Labash is interested in in-between phases and their impact on our subjectivities, thus he captures realities that are being transformed- whether it’s the unfolding of a situation, a moment of shifting emotional states, or patterns of movement between locales.
Education
- He graduated from Damascus University's Faculty of Fine Arts with a degree in Drawing and Painting in 2013.
Exhibitions
- His work has been featured in numerous local and international collective exhibits.
